… in mid December 2016.
Visited the following coffee shops…..
Stopped in Cambridge on my way there, Novi was the first. Coffee was fine, wasn’t warm enough for my taste though (4/10)
The Espresso Library, much better. The flapjack was nice too (8/10)
Hot Numbers, Trumpington Street. My 2nd visit there (my 1st was to buy some Beans) Best Flat white of the day. (9/10)
Fossgate Social, went in there by mistake but not bad considering (7/10)
Brew & Brownie, very good, so much so I took my distant relative in there for lunch 2 days later. (8/10)
Kiosk: Project Space, best Flat White in York (9/10)
There where 3 others I’d planned to visit (Harlequin/Attic, Spring Espresso & Coffee Culture) but ran out of time, Should’ve stayed longer.
Laynes Espresso Station Street. Very good but they forgot my order, I had to remind them. Oh dear. Up to the usual Square Mile Standard though (7/10)
Laynes Espresso pop up in Leeds dock. Thumbs up for the Barista there, he managed to get for me some dark arches blend beans from North Star Coffee Roasters next door despite being closed that day to the public. The flat white was a bit better too (8/10)
Celio Café. A good flat white because it came free with a bag of coffee beans purchase (7/10)
By far the best flat white I had while I was in Leeds was in LaBottegaMilanese, it was the cheapest too due to my going in there during happy hour! (9/10)
On my way back home I stopped by in Nottingham. Only two stops as I was dropping off Xmas presents on the journey back (which was hell that day)
